Frequent Asked Questions!
Why does my candle have white on the top and side?
This is called "frosting". This is completely normal with soy candles, and it is actually a sure-fire way to tell that your candle is 100% soy. Frosting is when the natural wax re-crystalizes on the top and sides. This does not have any effect on the strength of the scent.
Why does part of my candle look like it's not touching the jar?
When part of the candle looks like it's away from the glass jar, it's called a "wet spot". Wet spots are usually brought on by the change in temperature and how quickly it cools, which causes shrinkage and air bubbles in the wax. This does not have any effect on the way your candle will burn or the strength of the scent it will have.
Can I custom order?
Absolutely! I am always open to taking custom order, big or small. Please keep in mind a candle has to cure for two weeks after it is poured.
How long will my candle burn?
Soy candles will usually burn for 45-55 hrs give or take.
How long should I burn my candle for at a time?
Your candle should not burn for any longer than 4 hours at a time. This will prevent mushrooming at the end of your wick.
When should I stop burning my candle?
Stop burning once there is ½inch of wax left for safety reasons.
How do I take the best care of my candle?
Before each use make sure to trim your wick to ½-¼ inch. Your candle comes with the wick trimmed already, but be sure to keep it trimmed before each use after the first.
How long will the life of my candle last if I don't burn it frequently?
The life of a candle is all based upon the ingredients. A candle should still have its strong fragrance after 3-4 years if stored correctly.
Is my candle safe to eat?
No. It is true these are made of 100% soy wax, however they also have fragrance oil and color added to them. Although these are some of the safest fragrances, we do not recommend consuming your candle, no matter how delicious it smells.
